Once again disgraceful planning and spending of fees both taxpayers and passengers. 55 minutes to go through the " Fast Track".at LGW at an off peak time. Security screening machines un manned/staff chatting/ no apology or explanation, the usual suspects. BAA should be ashemed and the airlines should demand compensation, or refuse to submit their 6 monthly schedules to BAA unless improvements seen. The smoke screen of passengers being unprepared i.e shoes on/ liquids not in bags is totally false, and should be challenged. The extra precuations caused NO extra time, merely the disgraceful planning of equipment and manpower by the BAA- I reiterawte 55 mins to go theur LGW " Fast Track" mid morning on a Sunday.

Inbound flight chaos! on 4th aug 07 - 2 hour wait for luggage due shortage of baggage handlers. Also I notice on the outbound gatwick are not queue managing efficently dependant which q you join could mean a highly increased wait, we were lucky we chose a short one that actually cut in front of the others. I also notice on the passport control on return that some desks have two people serving one queue instead of one. This means some queues have a substantially increased wait.

So what else is new. Heathrow has a reputation as one of the worst airports for delays and lack of customer service. British Airways is not much better. Gatwick is not much better. We were flying to Poland in early may and there was pandemonium at the airport due to ineficiant staff. When flying back to the States we were charged a retroactive "fee" of 40pounds per person, roughly $80 each for the priviledge of flying through Heathrow. Personally, I will avoid BA and Heathrow in the future.
