| | Posted on 29 April 2008 15:31 | | | Great trip, slight delay outbound due to late arrival of plane, but no issue as Gold card holder with Virgin. Security was extremely busy, and I was glad to use the Virgin security option (Gold Card), and again coming into Heathrow, we both used IRIS option (thank God) where there was no queue.
I travel extensively to the Far East (6 to 7 per year) and Europe every month and there is absolutely no comparison in service to our great BAA!!
BAA pay peanuts and charge the earth for services, they dominate airports knowing we can't take our services elsewhere! | | Posted on 17 August 2007 11:21 | | | What an unexpected pleasant experience at Glasgow this morning. I was prepared for a queue at security as first thing in the morning and a few flights departing but as I go to domestic security there were only 8 people in front of me in the queue.
The 5 minute delay was not caused by security staff but by other passengers who waited until they got to the xray machine prior to removing jackets, shoes & liquids from bags!
The security staff at GLA were quick and efficent.
However again no consistency in security procedures with BAA. At GLA laptops did not have to be removed from bags but on return from LGW at night they did! | | ............................................................................................................................................................................................. |
