What travellers had to say about All UK Airports

I don't share the negative experiences of some on this site. I use this airport a lot, because its so user friendly. Whilst queues at security are inevitable, they are rarely lengthy. Staff are helpful and I know if it gets busy that at least with Liverpool having the FastLane system, I can avoid the queue if I want to. I wish other airports would consider such a great system. As for the comments from one passenger ('Robertus') about FastLane being a rip off as he's already paid his 'airport tax' - doesn't he know that there is no such thing as an 'airport tax'. Its called an APD or Air Passenger Duty which is a government tax that Liverpool and no other UK airport receives any revenue from. Liverpool Airport clearly states that it is because they receive no Governement subsidy for providing security that revenue from their FastLane scheme is reinvested into security to make it bigger and better for all passengers. Keep up the good work I say.

During my employment in Monaco since November 2007, my BA outbound flights, each Sunday or Monday afternoon, were from Newcastle to Nice via London Heathrow and returning each Friday. No fewer than 5 flights from Heathrow to Nice were delayed by anything from 75 minutes to 90 minutes. Inbound flights from Nice to Heathrow 2 delays of 60 minutes. Flights from Heathrow to Newcastle 2 flights delayed from 90 minutes to 120 minutes. When querying the reason for the delays at the BA service desk each reply seemed to blame an earlier delay and that this was more or less the norm.
Due to the stress caused by these continuous delays, followed by extremely late arrivals in Monaco, e.g 01.30am, and back in Newcastle, I have since resigned from my post in Monaco.

Flight XLA 611V retun to Gatwick was ontime.
However, we had to wait nearly TWO hours before we were able to collect our cases at Luggage Reclaim

We regularly use Luton and are always impressed at the lack of delays.
