No hassle whatsoever. The best experience I have ever had at Gatwick, looks like it's finally getting its act together.

the only delays we experienced were at Feurte where the return flight was delayed by about 45 minutes taking off at around 23.15 instead of 22:30. No delays at Gatwick Immagration just a bloody long walk to get there!

we did not have any problem with check - in or security. we were very dissapointed with the airline, we were due to fly out 10.00 - but was phoned the day before (by our travel counsellor) to say the flight had been changed until 15.15. We arrived at the airport to check - in for our flight to be handed a letter saying that the flight had been delayed another 3 hours. By the time we got to our destination it was gone midnight so we lost nearly half a day of our holiday, so of course to say the least we were very dissapointed.

Give us security guards a break, if everyone complained to the dft who set out the requireents we have to follow they might change their directives and we might get an easier day at work, we do not agree that all the procdures are necessary, but we are just puppets having out strings pulled by the masters most of whom have never worked on the shop floor of an airport, the rules are there to protect everyone in the sky as well as on the ground, i myself was involved in a security alert on a flight from manchester to toronto on sept 11th last year, and as a guard i was terrified, luckily we made a unscheduled landing in shannon after 4 hours in the air to get rid of the perpetrator, if the public knew and understood the threats they are being protected from our lives would be much easier, although I can say i am very proud of where i work, its a thankless job, we are seen as a nuisance and a hindrance, and until we avert a major disaster such as 9/11 we will get no appreciation, we are human and do our job to our full potential going through intensive training to the point where we are able to take apart firarms and ieds so we can identify the parts individually on an xray machine,we search bags that may contain explosives or poisons, I could go on but I hope you get the point, so please stop encouraging people to complain about us, we arethere for everyone's safety and wellbeing!!!!!
