We travelled during the a.m. departure peak and so some delay was expected. Speed could be improved further if a) trays were handed out to pax BEFORE arriving at X ray machines and b) if passengers could abide by simple instructions!! | | Posted on 29 July 2008 11:40 | | | Main problem outbound is the humiliating snake at Manchester Terminal 1 to get through Security checks. God knows how much the installation of this set-up must have cost, and who pays for it? The passenger, no doubt, and all in the name of security, so we mustn't grumble. Still, with all the staff it helps to keep the unemployment figures down.
Even worse is the degrading set-up at Customs on return. Necessary of course, but unfortunately an over-reaction and at least 10 years too late.
Reminder -- must try to fly from Liverpool or Blackpool if possible in future.
