| | Posted on 17 March 2008 10:56 | | | During my employment in Monaco since November 2007, my BA outbound flights, each Sunday or Monday afternoon, were from Newcastle to Nice via London Heathrow and returning each Friday. No fewer than 5 flights from Heathrow to Nice were delayed by anything from 75 minutes to 90 minutes. Inbound flights from Nice to Heathrow 2 delays of 60 minutes. Flights from Heathrow to Newcastle 2 flights delayed from 90 minutes to 120 minutes. When querying the reason for the delays at the BA service desk each reply seemed to blame an earlier delay and that this was more or less the norm. Due to the stress caused by these continuous delays, followed by extremely late arrivals in Monaco, e.g 01.30am, and back in Newcastle, I have since resigned from my post in Monaco. | | ............................................................................................................................................................................................. |

When you are travelling with children this makes it a very long time for them and they get board and don't understand why you have to book in 3/4 hrs before your flight. Surely they can reduce the time it takes to get through the checks. In Dubai the check in time is only 2hrs before departure and this was fine for the number of passengers that go through this airport so why can't we do it in the UK. | | ............................................................................................................................................................................................. |

Athens airport also had very short queues - made me wonder what the fuss was about, really! | | ............................................................................................................................................................................................. |

I shudder to think, the problem has just been pushed further away from the aircraft but not the passengers.
I now hate flying and would dearly use any other mode of transport if it was practical. | | ............................................................................................................................................................................................. |
