Checked in with my wife at 8.40 am for a 9.40 am flight to Liverpool. The flight was delayed and indicated a 10.40 departure time. then 11.20 then 11.40 at 12.35 the flight was cancelled altogether. Euromanx also cancelled their Manchester and Belfast flights leaving myself and my wife stranded on the Island with no alternative flights. As our luggage had been checked in we did not get it back until 2.00pm They eventually got a flight off the Island at 6.10 pm which was due out at 4.15 pm. As I had meetings at 12.00 noon in Manchester 6.00pm in Leeds there was no point in taking their later flight. This disrupted completely all my travel arrangements and purpose of travel. I had pre-booked and paid for a hire car and hotel, Also I was picking up my daughter and returning with her to the airport on Friday (we had her passport and she did not have any effective ID) so we lost the cost of that flight and her subsequent return flight.
I was only one of many people who were disrupted by Euromanx that day. In my last four flights with that airline the best they managed was a two hour delay. One day I checked in at 6.20 am for their 7.20 am flight only to be told at 11.30 am to leave the aircraft as my appointment 11.00 am in Liverpool could not be delayed indefinitely
