Passenger were queuing ridiculous amount of time to avoid paying the fast track system. What is wrong with this airport, they promote that they are the home of low cost, easy flights. So therefore you would expect to check in 40mins before departure and go straight to the gate, but Liverpool airport has put inconveniencies in the way all in the aid of making money. Equally the waiting time for immigration is just as bad with queuing coming from several ways to try and compile into one. Liverpool airport really does need to revaluate their system. | | ............................................................................................................................................................................................. |

| | Posted on 29 January 2008 10:54 | | | I had hte online check in done with Ryanair on my flight back to Dublin. My 2 friends had to check -in at the airport. Because of this we were at the airport 2 hours before departure. i had to queue for just short of an hour in the normal security gate. Only beacuse i was so early i would have been delayed for my flight. My firends who arrived up in the lounge after check in couldnt take the chance tp queue and had to opay the extra for the express queue. the situation is ridiculous. A complete rip-off. Double charging for security. The security were also pretty rude. I will try and avoid this airport whenever i can again and in the need of using it i shall refuse to spend any of my cash in the shops and restaurants. On a note of praise, i have to say that Dublin airport has improved signifigantly in regard to security. We have went through security without delay on the last 5-6 occasions. | | ............................................................................................................................................................................................. |

Had we not switched to the 'Fast Track' (that's a joke) line after queuing for half an hour in the normal line we would have joined the other 10 who missed their flight and had their baggage removed from the hold!!! We had to run down to the gate shoes, belt and bags in hand. To be fair to Ryanair, they waited half an hour for stragglers. The other 10 no doubt gave up in anger and frustration and were left behind. There were no warnings of potential delays given to us. The FastTrack machines were broken and 3 or 4 airport staff were collecting the money in hand! | | ............................................................................................................................................................................................. |

Flight arrived 25 minutes early on return from Valencia, I was straight through immigration, was in my car in car park 10 minutes after landing and 15 minutes before the flight was actually due to arrive. A pleasure after some of the hassles elsewhere! | | ............................................................................................................................................................................................. |

| | Posted on 14 January 2008 19:02 | | | | My flight departed at 7.00 Liverpool to Barcelona, i checked in at 4.45am (over 2hrs before departure) at the Easyjet check in. However, due to the quick system they have incorporated at Liverpool airport they had only ONE security check desk open for all passengers and FOUR desk if you were willing to pay £2.00 to walk through security, when you already pay extra charge for baggage, boarding and tax! Everyone in the airport was demanding them to open more security desk and there answer was simple "pay the money or queue" After waiting almost 1 hr and 50mins my flight was being called to board and therefore I had no choice but to pay the charge or miss my flight. I made my flight just in time and was the last passenger to board. Therefore every passenger would have finally had to pay the charge on that morning if they were going to make their flight. This is the second time this has happened to me in December, flying from Liverpool. I have now changed my airports for my summer destinations, to see if the service is better elsewhere. Liverpool airport is a disgrace and is charging unnecessary charges to the passengers. The staff in the terminal are just as less helpful to make sure passengers make their flights. On my return journey back from Barcelona I had to wait 1Hr and 45Mins to get through immigration. Two desks on at the time and queues were miles long. Disgusting service and awful system both for immigration and security. | | ............................................................................................................................................................................................. |
